Family Days out at Rother Valley

Fresh Air & Fun… The perfect ingredients for a fabulous family day out? 

A family day at Rother Valley Country Park will leave you wondering how you will fit it all in!

Let’s start with our ever-popular Activity Centre located on our main lake. Here you can hire pedal boats, rowing boats, sailing boats and canoes. These come in all sizes catering for 1,2,3, or 4 people. 

For families who want to learn something together, we run lessons, courses and taster sessions in canoeing and sailing, so if you want to take it to the next level, this is the place.  

For those a little more land-based, why not try your hand at Archery? Our instructors are always on the lookout, ready to train the next Robin Hood! 

Away from the Activity Centre, you can ride on our miniature train as it chugs alongside the lake, taking in the ducks and swans.

Vast open spaces provide an oasis for playing outdoor games, walking or cycling and if you forget the bike, you can always hire one from our well-equipped cycle centre.

There are plenty of spaces for picnics, but if sandwiches are too faffy, we have a lovely cafe located in the Park Courtyard serving up some tasty delights. Ice cream vans are also located around the park daily, so you’re never far from a sweet treat.
