A number of clubs meet at Rother Valley to make use of our lakes and trails…

There’s lots going on around the park, in the lakes and on the trails. Find information below about the various clubs that call Rother Valley Country Park their home.

Sheffield and District Jetski Club

Home of the Sheffield and District Jetski Club

Rother Valley Country Park is home to the Sheffield and District Jetski Club.

Only members of the Sheffield and District Jetski Club can launch at the Park, please email enquiries@jetshed.com for membership details.

For club members launch passes are available from the Watersports and Activity Centre reception. (Please note you need your own Jet Ski, and these are not hired at the park).

Rother Valley Riders

Rother Valley Riders are the volunteers who maintain the trails in the park.

The Mountain Bike Trails at the park are maintained and Developed by Rother Valley Riders.

You can volunteer to help with the development of the trails on the specific dig days organised by the club.

Please contact Rother Valley Riders for more information on how to join the club and volunteer.

The Green cycle route is maintained by the park this is a 5K route which is fairly flat around the two main lakes of the park.

You can collect a Mountain Bike Trails Guide for the Blue and Red Routes from the cycle hire centre at the park.

Parkrun UK

Parkrun is a free weekly timed 5k event held every Saturday commencing at 9:00am

Organised and facilitated each week entirely by volunteers embedded in the local community.

Parkrun is fully inclusive to all participants and open to all runners, joggers, walkers of every age group.

Meets Saturday at northern end of Rother Valley Country Park, arrive for 8:30am, starts at 9:00am.

How can people join? Register for a barcode with www.parkrun.org.uk and just turn up from 8.30 am onwards every Saturday and the team of volunteers will direct you on what to do.

Firbeck Sailing Club

Firbeck Sailing Club at Rother Valley Country Park

A family friendly sailing club based at Rother Valley Country Park since 1983.

Families and individuals are welcome to enjoy the pleasures of sailing (and other water sports) and at the same time join a socially minded group with various levels of sailing skill.

New members are always welcome.  No experience or boat is needed to join the club.

Experienced members will provide informal tuition and advice for novices or taster sessions for beginners.

The club is not a racing club, but they have several formal races throughout the year for fun, with limited rules, to improve your skills and add some excitement! On non-race days, you will always find members willing to chase each other around the buoys.

Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, along with a program of social events for members, on the Main Lake at Rother Valley Country Park.

Newfoundland Dog Club

Newfoundland Water and Draught training in South Yorkshire

Sunday’s at 10:30am, Northern Lake (Summer) & near the horse parking area (Winter) at Rother Valley Country Park.

Rother Valley Dog Agility

Rother Valley Dog Agility Club was set up and started meeting at the park 6th October 1985.

The ethos of the club is to train dogs in a fun, safe and secure way by providing clear and strong foundations for everything they do. The club offers classes in Agility, Obedience and Working Trials and meets throughout the year.

Meets: Sunday from 10.45 to 12.30 on The Green at Rother Valley Country Park.
