As well as formal education Rother Valley welcomes groups from all sections of the community including youth groups, conservation volunteers, scouts, guides, womens institutes, church groups, and specialist interests from milling to miniature railways
.
Popular activities include working towards badges for scouts and guides, orienteering, mini beast hunts, as well as walks and talks looking at the local environment and its history.
In addition to events lead by park staff we also host a variety of events run by specialists in their field, a recently opened attraction includes the
Sculpture Trail
, (1mb pdf file) a 1.9 mile walk designed and constructed by young people under the guidance of local artist Simon Kent, which is now proving popular with local rambling groups.
